COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING
Community-based programming is the backbone of our organization. This program is made up of meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 7 through young adulthood in the Ross, Pike, Pickaway, Fayette and Highland County communities. These matches meet a minimum of twice a month and are centered around relationship and character building. For more information, see our child enrollment tab here!

SCHOOL-BASED MENTORING
School-based programming is another way we see the power of mentoring at work with meaningful, monitored matches between high school volunteers, “Bigs” and elementary/middle school, “Littles” in the Ross, Pike, Pickaway and Highland County communities. These matches meet once a week at school and participate in programming lead by a staff member. The activities are centered around personal development, peer-peer relationships, team building activities, goal setting, etc. We currently have programs at 9 schools, including those below that participated in our year-end Field Day!

READY TO BE MATCHED
Our Ready to be Matched (RTBM) list consists of Littles who are waiting on a Big. They enroll at age 7 and can stay active in our program until they turn 18 or graduate high school. Our goal is to have every child on our waitlist matched with a caring, consistent, adult! While they are waiting, we try to make it a point to get to know our kids and stay in contact with them through various activities. Check out the pictures below to see what we have been up to this summer! Interested in enrolling a child or becoming a Big? Click here for child enrollment, and here for volunteer!
OTHER PROGRAMS
Turning PointTurning Point is an 8-session drug prevention curriculum that we fit into one week, giving all the kids who attend, a day camp experience at our agency. This curriculum is aimed at not only teaching kids about the consequences of drug abuse, but also about self-esteem, how to make good decisions, communication skills, peer pressure, etc. It is aimed at equipping kids with the skills necessary to build positive self-expression, self-confidence, and self-awareness.

Match ActivitiesThroughout the year, we like to host different activities that our matches get to participate in together. Some of these activities include a Chillicothe Paint's Game, cookie decorating, boys and girls outings, etc.
